Donald Trump is the only Republican candidate to lead President Joe Biden in a hypothetical 2024 matchup, according to a new poll released by Emerson College.
This is despite the constant barrage of moderate Republicans who claim that Trump cannot win the GOP nomination if he earns it.
The Emerson poll shows Trump in full control of the nomination, leading incumbent Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis by 30 points (55-25%).
Former Vice President Mike Pence comes in at 8% while the recently announced Nikki Haley registers at just 5%.
In a separate poll question involving candidates who have actually declared a 2024 run, Trump (79%) beat Haley (18%) and Vivek Ramaswamy (4%).

What’s really surprising to the media, Democrats and spineless Republicans is that Trump is the only potential 2024 challenger leading Biden in the polls.
In a hypothetical matchup, Trump would lead the incumbent president by 4 points (46-42%).
Despite repeated attempts to paint a different narrative, the Emerson poll in February was not anomalous. Trump led Biden 44-41% in their January results.

In other hypothetical matchups for 2024, President Biden leads DeSantis (44-40%) and Haley (40-37%), though the number of undecideds rises in each case.
The poll comes on the heels of a report by Axios that described “Trump’s February Bump.”
“After a shaky start to his presidential campaign, Trump has quietly found his footing in the past month,” Axios writes, with four new polls showing him gaining support.

Stop with the ‘Trump can’t beat Biden’ BS
The latest news comes after a pair of prominent Republicans once predicted that Trump could not beat President Biden.
Former House Speaker Paul Ryan predicted that someone other than Trump would win the nomination “because we know we’re going to lose to him.”
Paul Ryan: “If we nominate Trump again we will lose…we lost to him in 18′, 20′ and 22′. We know this. He will lose us another election. pic.twitter.com/V2tT7rvWyu

Former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie was able to push himself away from the golden corral buffet long enough to offer a similar analysis.
He was recently asked by ABC’s Jonathan Karl: “Can Trump beat Biden?”
“I don’t think so,” Christie replied.
The comments prompted Trump to describe Ryan as a “loser” and Christie as a “mess.”
An Emerson College poll shows President Biden’s approval rating on the water, actually hitting the 50% mark in February.

Democrat respondents also trust Biden should do Run in 2024 – 71% suggest he should be their party’s nominee.
This represents a 13% jump from the previous month. That means the Democrats are perfectly content with the current destruction of the American economy.
