The West African Examination Council (WAEC) has released the provisional results of 43,742 candidates who sat for the 2022 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) for private candidates.
The admission figure includes 20,164 males and 23,578 females, the examination body revealed. 76 candidates were visually impaired and 2 were hearing impaired.
As many as 901 candidates have had their results withheld for allegedly indulging in examination irregularities.

Meanwhile, the public has been warned to be wary of fraudulent individuals who lure people into paying money with the promise of upgrading their results.
