Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump announced a seven-point plan to combat rising crime in America, including a “record” investment in police officers and a return to stop-and-frisk prevention measures.
President Biden and ‘defund the police’ Democrats have turned America’s cities into “cesspools of bloodshed and crime,” Trump declared in a campaign video.
The former president’s plan is named ‘Agenda 47’.
“During his first term, President Trump reduced violent crime and stood strong with America’s law enforcement,” the statement read.
“On Joe Biden’s watch, violent crime has soared and communities have become less safe as he has defied, discredited and dismantled the police force.”

Trump fights crime by investing in law enforcement
Trump’s number one plan to combat rising crime in America involves substantial investment in police officers.

“As the police force is decimated by the Democrats’ war on the police, I will sign a record investment in the hiring, retention and training of police officers nationwide,” Trump declared.
Furthermore, he pointed out the necessary “safeguards” for law enforcement to do their jobs properly without fear of continuing repercussions.
“This bill increases important liability protections for officers because Democrats want to take those protections away from our police because we want them to do their jobs and we want them to do their jobs properly,” he said.

In his plan to combat rising crime, Trump adds, police funding will be tied to practices that show the department is serious about enforcing laws.
“I urge local jurisdictions to return to proven common sense policing measures like stop and frisk…strictly enforcing existing gun laws against convicted felons, cracking down on the free use of illegal drugs, and cooperating with ICE to get criminal aliens out of our country. Get them off the streets and out of our country.
His plan calls for DOJ investigations against “radical Marxist prosecutors” who fail to enforce laws based on race.
“We will go after radical Marxist prosecutors who abolish cash bail, refuse to prosecute felonies and surrender our cities to violent criminals,” Trump said. “They are more surrendered than ever.”

Biden has failed on offense
Recent polling suggests that a solid plan to combat crime is something that will win with voters — especially black voters.
As crime rates rise across the nation, Democrat officials surprisingly still push their ‘cheat the police’ platform.

However, only 28 percent of black Americans support Democrats’ ‘defund the police’ policies.
Instead, black Americans want the police to maintain a local presence and believe that evading the police is a “contributing factor to violent crime.”
Overall, 58% oppose the movement to extort the police and only 18% support it.

President Biden has consistently received low marks from the American people for his handling of crime in this nation, an issue voters rank second among their top concerns behind the floundering economy.
A poll before the midterms put Biden’s approval rating on crime at a paltry 32%.

Last week, a report emerged that Trump wants to curb crime in America by expanding the use of the death penalty for violent criminals and drug dealers, and by proposing to broadcast live executions on television.
That report was disputed by his campaign.
