A video of Greta Thunberg’s so-called ‘arrest’ at a climate protest illustrates the truth behind climate change

Suppose you believe climate change activists, left-wing politicians and any hysterical Gen Z tic toker.

In that case, you’d think the world was minutes away from being destroyed by any man-made evils. That’s right, my love for a good cheeseburger, my desire to keep my family warm in the winter and cool in the summer, and the economic condition that requires me and my family to be transported by gas-powered vehicle spells the end of humanity.

It reminds me of when my generation was whining about the ill effects of hairspray drilling a hole in the ozone layer. What happened to that hole, anyway?

Oh, that’s right, thanks to industry and innovation, the ozone hole has shrunk over time. Thank goodness, because it takes a fair amount of hairspray to keep my mohawk tall and proud every day.

But no one has done more to recruit gullible suckers into the cult of climate change than Greta Thunberg.

Her latest adventure was getting “arrested” for the cameras, but people are calling BS on what happened.

Yesterday Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg was ‘arrested’ by German police while protesting coal mine expansion. It looks very powerful to see this young woman in her black puffer jacket being dragged away by the German police with her characteristic defiant expression.

What an image to sell to the youth of the world, how cool and hip Greta is while doing her part to save us all from our capitalist sins. But, unfortunately, a clip that has gone viral on Twitter shows him laughing with the police while posing for photos with reporters on the site.

Some on the right dared to claim that this apparent phase of her arrest illustrates that figures like Greta are less interested in saving the world but more dedicated to elevating their brand.

For example, Charlie Kirk of Turning Point USA said:

“So Greta Thunberg’s arrest is as bogus as the climate change cult she works for.”

However, others pointed to her performance as a nod to another popular Gen Z personality.

Conservative commentator Tim Young explains:

“The AOC is better at arresting a fake than Greta Thunberg.”

Nothing says climate change is complete grift like Greta Thunberg conducting her own fake arrest.

This is a reference to when Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was removed from the Supreme Court sit-in protest. Roe v. WadeThere she cleverly placed her hands behind her back to simulate her arrest—proving that most protests and activism in our country and now in Europe are just simulated theater.

What are you fighting for?

While horrific for Ukrainians, the war in Ukraine has taken a significant toll economically on the rest of the world. Notably, the war has caused energy insecurity in Europe, so a government deal to expand coal mines is protested by Greta and some of her brave, well-dressed companions.

Commentator Ian Miles Cheong boils down the flaw in his protest:

“Greta Thunberg is protesting coal mining in Germany because she thinks it’s better for elderly Germans to freeze in the winter than for Germany to develop any sort of coherent energy strategy.”

But balancing costs and benefits is not climate activists’ strong suit. And while many criticized Greta’s act…er, I mean protesting…others celebrated it, such as NASA climate scientist Peter Kalmus:

“Greta’s first arrest. It’s time for more of us to stand up and risk arrest for the sake of a habitable planet. It turns the tide. “

My, how fast they grow. Unfortunately for Pete, this wasn’t actually Greta’s first arrest; A few days earlier she had been arrested at the exact spot she hadn’t set up her press in advance.

Greta Thunberg thought she was the next MLK with her minor arrest yesterday.

The difference is that MLK was actually arrested and the government hated him…

And what risk exactly did Greta take? She is considered an icon for climate change advocates and aspiring politicians who want the same spotlights that Greta gets for themselves. She is activism royalty.

For a 20-year-old, unfortunately, Greta has had quite an impact on the world. He was asked to speak at the World Economic Forum (WEF) Davos event in 2019, where he heated up his private jets for world leaders and CEOs:

“Our house is on fire.”

The following year she was invited back so that the ego-inflated world elite could accept their masochistic abuse from a young activist who said she had basically done nothing to help the planet.

This year he is set to protest the event while sitting in a meeting with Fatih Birol, executive director of the International Energy Agency (IEA), which helps make policy recommendations on global energy.

It should concern everyone that one of the world’s top energy officials is taking advice from a 20-year-old.

She has also acquired a collection of children’s books based on her exploits, including:
