Many are enduring long journeys, overcrowding and queues at train stations and borders, with limited access to food and accommodation. With European countries welcoming so many refugees, people were quick to call out stark differences in the treatment of Ukrainian refugees to Afghan and Syrian refugees, who often experienced racism.
