THEATER: Biden clears El Paso of illegal immigrant camps ahead of border visit

President Joe Biden made his first visit to the border on Sunday, but it was little more than thinly veiled kabuki theater, as reports indicated that illegal immigrant camps in El Paso, Texas, had been cleared before his visit.

Adding to the perception of a highly choreographed event, CNN reports that Biden “did not appear to see or meet with immigrants, including a trip to an immigrant rest center.”

El Paso cleared out ‘immigrant’ camps before the president’s arrival, creating a Potemkin village so he wouldn’t have to witness them and the media wouldn’t have to report on Biden witnessing them, multiple outlets reported.

The New York Post had a photographer on site who reported that authorities “teared down migrant camps under cover of darkness and sent hundreds of migrants across the border into Mexico”.

If that last statement is at all true, the nature of frontier theater is worse than anyone could imagine.

Illegal immigration camps in El Paso cleared for Biden

First, where is the outrage from the media and the crocodile tear squad over these reports that El Paso has cleared out illegal immigrant camps to create a clean slate for the president?

Can you imagine the unmitigated fury if Donald Trump had traveled to a border city and cleared the streets and shipped ‘immigrants’ to Mexico for a photo-op?

As a comparison, recall the reaction of the left-wing media when then-President Trump walked through Lafayette Square. The incident has been compared to similar actions in 1930s Germany or the Kremlin.

But will Biden clear out those pesky illegal aliens before they even arrive and no one bats an eyelash?

The Post reported that roughly 200 people had been sent to Mexico by Saturday, 24 hours before Biden’s visit. Now we know that authorities are able to deport illegal aliens without difficulty. The program should be extended to every city and state across the border.

Border Patrol agents respond

Border Patrol agents and local volunteers are reportedly frustrated during President Biden’s border ‘visit’ as well as clearing illegal immigrants in El Paso.

“It’s a dog and horse show,” a volunteer in the area told the Daily Mail. “They cleaned everything up for him.”

“They may get a glimpse of the border but not of the crisis,” the outlet reports, noting that border agents “wanted to see the extent of the chaos last month.”

Why? Because as Brandon Judd, president of the National Border Patrol Council, notes, January represents a seasonal high in numbers.

“Biden has all those statistics. He knows all the trends. He knows when is the best time to come to the border,” Judd said. “And he knows that early January is absolutely the best time.”

The Daily Mail has some incredible before and after photos of the crackdown on an illegal immigrant camp in El Paso.

Former President Donald Trump recently lashed out at Biden’s immigration policies, or lack thereof.

“Our border is open because Joe Biden ordered it open — and Biden broke the law and tore it to shreds,” Trump said in a campaign video.

“They’ve torn our system apart and they’re destroying our country.”

The White House has claimed that it was just a coincidence that Biden visited the border and did not run into any illegal immigrants on the trip.

“There was no one at the center when they arrived. Totally coincidental,” an official told CNN in a statement. “They didn’t have anything today.”

That is, to put it mildly, highly unlikely. A month ago, El Paso declared a state of emergency because illegal alien crossings reached historic levels:

Blanketed babies in car seats on the sidewalk. People sleeping in blankets and sleeping bags on the floor. Hundreds of people pour into downtown El Paso at once. There are over 53,500 illegal aliens in November alone was arrestedand an additional 24,000 that evaded seizure by law enforcement in the Customs and Border Patrol sector, including El Paso.

Magically, there were empty streets when Biden arrived?

Texas Governor Greg Abbott criticized the president’s visit as “$20 billion too little and two years too late.”
