Donald Trump is calling on a new Congress to hold hearings and issue subpoenas to investigate the FBI’s role in using Twitter to manipulate information and elections.
Trump made the demand in a newly released campaign video.
In it, the Republican candidate for president cited the recent ‘Twitter Files’ document drops — repeated releases of internal files from the big tech company by Elon Musk that show close coordination between the intelligence community and Twitter officials to control the narrative surrounding the elections. A reason to continue the investigation.
Those files, Trump says, “prove beyond all doubt that corrupt officials at the FBI are coordinating a massive censorship, surveillance and propaganda campaign against the American people.”
“The new Congress should immediately hold hearings to investigate the role of the FBI and other federal agencies in censoring lawful speech,” Trump suggested.
“Congressional leaders must immediately issue subsections to further this goal.”

Trump’s campaign video calling for an investigation into possible collusion between the FBI and Twitter came on the same day Republican House Oversight Committees requested Twitter employees to testify about the suppression of the Hunter Biden story.
House Oversight Chair James Comer (R-KY) sent letters to Twitter employees asking them to testify in early February about the censorship of the bombshell story that could change the minds of many voters.

“The story of the laptop from hell is the beginning of the story of the weaponization of government against free speech,” Trump said in his video.
“In our country we must have freedom of speech, we must have a fair and free press.”
Comer sent a letter to Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen asking the department to provide any “suspicious activity reports” involving the president’s son and other business associates.

Trump Heralds Elon Musk as a Free Speech Hero
The former president has previously cited the ‘Twitter Files’ and declared Elon Musk a free speech hero for revealing collusion between Twitter and the FBI, DHS and DNC, creating a campaign by omitting opposing views.
“Elon Musk did a great service when he released all this stuff. Because our country is corrupt,” Trump said in an interview with One America News Network last month. “Our elections are corrupt.”
“Yes, I would say he’s a hero. I think that’s a big part of his legacy,” he said. “I think it’s more important than anything else he’s done.”

In one of his first campaign videos of 2024, Trump announced a free speech policy platform that seeks to ‘remove and destroy’ left-wing censorship.
“If we don’t have free speech, we don’t have a free country,” he said. “It’s as simple as that.”
He explained that if the right to free speech is abolished in America, all other rights will soon follow.

“Trump promised to ban the use of federal funds to label domestic speech as ‘mis-‘ or ‘mis-information.’
The FBI and other federal officials did just that by applying Twitter to both the Hunter Biden scandal and the COVID information.
The subpoenas need to start flying. It’s not good enough request Evidence, it must be coerced.
