In London, there is a site for a floral tribute in Green Park, next to Buckingham Palace, where officials from the so-called Royal Parks have given guidance on what to do.
For example, officials have asked the public to remove plastic wrap before leaving any flowers. At least a week after the funeral it will be easier to finally turn the flowers into compost.
“We prefer that visitors not bring non-floral items/artwork such as teddy bears or balloons,” he said.
The tip was shared with the BBC as presenter Sally Nugent told viewers, “They are suggesting there are lots of Paddingtons and marmalade sandwiches in the parks at the moment so please feel free to bring flowers but no Paddingtons or marmalade sandwiches now.”
