It seems that big tech loves big government.
Tech companies and social media companies are now home to hundreds of former employees of the FBI, CIA, DHS and more, according to a new investigation.
Be careful who you share with on these sites, you never know who you’re talking to.
The Daily Caller reports:
Hundreds of ex-feds have joined jobs in big tech
The executive ranks of Google, Twitter, Meta and TikTok include more than 200 former employees of surveillance government agencies, creating a job pipeline between the government and big tech companies, a Daily Caller investigation has found.
A LinkedIn search revealed that technology companies hired 248 employees from the DOJ, FBI, CIA and DHS. Most of the hiring occurred between 2017-2022, with several top director positions filled after decade-long careers in surveillance agencies.
Google hired 130 former DOJ, DHS, CIA and FBI employees, a Daily Caller keyword search on LinkedIn found. Meta, the company that owns Facebook and Instagram, has hired 47 people across the three units who were previously at the DOJ, FBI or DHS. TikTok, a China-based app with national security concerns, has hired 25 former DOJ, FBI, DHS or CIA employees. Twitter has 46 executives who previously worked for three-letter agencies.
Reed Rubinstein, a former deputy associate attorney general under President Trump, told the Daily Caller that Americans should be “concerned” about the “terrible” consolidation of big tech companies and federal agencies.
“The revolving door has been a feature of DC for as long as I can remember. Any business that is heavily regulated is concerned about managing regulators, and one way to do that is to buy them out,” Rubinstein said.
Once you know this, many other things will suddenly fall into place.
“@ShellenbergerMDTheir findings and the release of the Twitter files confirmed that at every step the Biden campaign was aided and abetted by the FBI, Big Tech executives and the national press, who all shared a common goal.
