Former Tennessee state representative Justin Jones spent Easter comparing his and his colleague’s expulsion from the legislature to a crucifixion.
Jones and former Democratic lawmakers, Rep. Justin Pearson was evicted last week.
The protests, described by some as ‘riots’, saw participants disrupt law enforcement and the legislative session.
During one such session, Jones was seen on video holding a megaphone, disrupting the democratic process and inciting protesters to chant and shout at lawmakers.
There is something you all should know about the attempt to take over our state capitol in Tennessee. Democrat representatives are the ones you see taking over the legislative well. One of them @brotherjones_ He was a hardcore left-wing activist/organizer pic.twitter.com/JXeEgWFbIt…

Tennessee Democrat Justin Jones compared the expulsion to a crucifixion
Democracy aggressor Justin Jones has spent time playing the victim after being ousted from the legislature, suggesting his conviction was the result of racism.
While portraying the event as part of their “everything is racist” narrative, the media essentially endorsed the democrat coups and attacks on democracy.

On Easter Sunday, Jones tried to play the ultimate victim.
“Tennessee Republicans’ attempt to crucify democracy has (a) resurrected it in the form of a mass movement led by young people,” Jones tweeted. “That gives me hope.”

Yes, see, folks, being punished for breaking the laws of the legislature is like Jesus Christ dying on the cross to forgive the sins of all mankind.
Fact-checkers will no doubt point out that Jones’ comments are not a literal comparison to crucifixion, the analogy remains and is a blatant attempt to cast himself as a victim in the same vein as Jesus.
Tennessee’s Justin Jones wasn’t the first to draw the comparison. The podcast host of the show Pardon the Insurrection made the same analogy in a tweet earlier in the week.
“Justin Jones was kicked out of the TN Legislature today but my city council will be voting to reinstate him on Monday,” @BlackKnight10K wrote.
“He was crucified on Thursday. Come back on Monday. Only Jesus has defeated this man.
Democrats are a party full of godless scum masquerading as great orators or thinkers.

A ‘Third Reconstruction’ is said to be underway
This isn’t the first time Tennessee Democrat Justin Jones has used a dopey hyperbolic analogy to describe his current situation.
Jones took his ignorant sideshow to right-hand man Al Sharpton, where he declared that expulsion from the Legislature was akin to slavery and the Reconstruction era.
“We’re in the middle of a third rebuild in Tennessee that will have national implications,” he said. “But what this means is that this system of white supremacy is an attempt to divide and conquer us.”
He is like AOC, intelligent.

Jones, like many who claim to see racism everywhere they look, has his own controversial history.
Disgraced former state legislator once Tennessee State Rep. Sabi “Doc” Kumar, an Indian American and Republican, called it “brownface of white supremacy”.

The Tennessee legislature, exposed to racist criticism from Jones and his Democratic colleagues, failed to expel state representative Gloria Johnson, who participated in the protest.
He, like Jones and Pearson, was removed from his committee assignments, but Johnson managed to escape expulsion from the legislature by one vote.
It should be an easy call to remove her as well.
Nashville’s Metro Council has called a special meeting Monday where they will essentially vote to reinstate Jones to his seat for the time being. Another vote on Pearson will be held on Wednesday.
