Moments like these remind us of America’s failing public education system.
A female contestant named Khushi on Monday’s episode of Wheel of Fortune. Before her suffocating work, she managed to make a few correct guesses to narrow the puzzle down to the last two letters.
The puzzle at the time read Free Tropical Fruit, missing the “S” and “H”.
But Khushi can’t solve it. Instead she spins the wheel and asks for “H,” collecting a little more money in the process.
Now the puzzle reads FRE H TROPICAL FRUIT. Surely Khushi can solve it now, right?
is wrong Khushi turns around again, still not knowing the answer.
Then disaster strikes.
Watch:
I don’t think I’ve ever heard an audience member react as violently on Wheel of Fortune as this woman did when a poor contestant called out G on “Fresh.” pic.twitter.com/FiFWTNlphM

Freg tropical fruit? A toddler could have done better.
Newsweek has more:
Another contestant, Juliana, then stepped up to correctly answer the word “fresh tropical fruit,” scooping not only $650, but a luxury trip to the Caribbean island of Antigua worth $10,000.
As the dust settled, Sajak tried to explain how contestants can sometimes get stuck for an answer even though it’s obvious to viewers.
“You know when that happens and you’re sitting at home, you’re saying, ‘How in the world is that possible [not be solved]?’” Sajak said. “But, you know, sometimes it’s a word you don’t want to get noticed.”
Poor Khushi. The bright side of this whole embarrassment is that Pat Sajak reminded us once again that this is a total class act.
