Democrats are moving to make the solution a reality, and not just in San Francisco

It’s barely a news cycle without someone in DC proposing legislation that would hurt those who campaigned to help or specifically punish political enemies. Of course, this kind of activity happens on both sides of the political aisle; When it comes from the left the mainstream media prefers to ignore it, or worse, elevate it.

This time the single worst thing to come out of Texas is none other than Democratic Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee.

You guessed it…racist, she’s on a roll with not one but two bills intended to paint Republicans as they try to destroy the Constitution and hold back the very people they want to help.

Naturally, her proposed legislation would rain down taxpayer dollars in the name of slavery and destroy the very concept of free speech. But, no big deal because we are all racists anyway.

Sheila Jackson Lee is exactly what Martin Luther King didn’t want us to be. His party needs to correct him for trying to bring back casteism.

Let it go

Talk of compensation never goes away. I honestly believe that, even if solutions are ever agreed upon, it still won’t go away because a broken immigration system is a power card for both parties, ‘but slavery!’ Card for Democrats.

Congresswoman Lee has proposed legislation to seek reparations on a national level and, of course, a national “apology” for slavery. Because there are many free slaves in our nation who are anxiously awaiting an apology from the leaders who chained them.

Oh, wait a second, that’s not true. But again, Ms. According to Lee, people like me are trivializing the concept:

“While some may try to deflect the importance of these conversations by focusing on individual monetary redress, the real issue is whether and how this nation can come to grips with the legacy of slavery that still infects today’s society.”

Does she mean slavery in our open borders where women and children are used as human cattle to line the pockets of human traffickers? Of course not, because that means existing in our current time and reality.

Last year, now House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries explained why the issue won’t go away:

“We’re not going to continue because after slavery, there was the rise of Jim Crow and the KKK. And lynching was epidemic. And Plessy v. Ferguson. And in 1921 Black Wall Street was destroyed.

So until apartheid is completely eradicated, we will never live out our national sin of slavery. But stealing money from people who never owned slaves and cutting checks to people who never owned slaves is a modicum step in the right direction.

If you are going to San Francisco

Fraudsters push this law at the national level, which doesn’t stop dark blue states and cities from moving forward with solutions.

For example, the San Francisco Compensation Committee proposed paying huge sums to longtime black residents $5 million In solutions each one.

California and San Francisco, for that matter, were always a free state and a free city, so you don’t need to have slavery in your ancestors to benefit.

The committee explains:

“Although neither San Francisco nor California formally adopted the institution of chattel slavery, the principles of segregation, white supremacy, and systematic oppression and exclusion of black people were codified through legal and illegal measures, social codes, and judicial enforcement.”

In addition, the committee recommends the city supplement about $97,000 annually for at least 250 years for low-income black residents.

First, more money than I ever made as a DC consultant.

Second, 250 years! So will black people who are not yet born and determine or end up with low incomes get this supplement? What are we talking about anymore?

But the best recommendation is that black residents who qualify for the $5 million in compensation should get first choice for subsidized housing. Are you signing up for subsidized housing if you’ve only got $5 million?

Oh, wait, redistribution of wealth, I know what it’s actually called.

California is experiencing heavy rain and snow. Despite years of drought, more water flows into the ocean than is stored for use. California has not built a dam, reservoir or aqueduct in 40 years. It was half the size. But is there money for compensation?!?

Thought crimes

Now let’s remember our dear friend Congressman Lee. In addition to her relief legislation, she proposed a ‘Leading Act against white supremacy’.

The legislation essentially turns any speech that insults non-white people into a hate crime that can be considered “conspiracy to commit white supremacy” or “incite violence.”

According to the bill, if someone commits a crime based on something you say, you can be held liable for:

“Reading, hearing or watching from a person engaged in the planning, development, preparation or act of white supremacy constitutes a hate crime.”

Well, depending on who you talk to, it could be as little as choosing not to wear a mask. Literally. The leftist kooks are saying it for real.

But, unfortunately, it won’t be long until thinking something contrary to what the Left elite believes will land you in jail.

…the bill is an almost impenetrable word salad of convoluted provisions. However, what is clear (perhaps the only clear thing) is that the “Anti-White Supremacy Act of 2023” violates the First Amendment and creates effective thought crimes.

Spoiler alert, we haven’t landed astronauts on Mars – although, at this rate, we’ll probably see reparations and thought crimes legalized before we even set foot on Mars.

moving backwards

Don’t screw it up; Everyone knows racism still exists. It’s damning, but it always goes exists. Tribal behavior is coded into our DNA.

But taking money from people who were never slave owners, exactly what happens through taxes, and giving money to people who were never slaves is not how we solve many of the problems that plague black America. That is what we call “robbery”. Likewise, giving away free money is not how we lift up the struggling, regardless of skin color.

What will help California and the rest of our country is lowering the cost of living. Focusing on providing quality education to all parts of our country, education that enhances education and focuses on tangible skills like math, science, reading and business skills will help uplift everyone.

There is no way to go back in time and erase what happened. The only reason black America is struggling is to hang our hats on our history to say they can never be more than a victim – and I refuse to believe that.
