Renowned broadcaster and host of Ghana’s flagship morning show “Kokrokoo” on Peace FM, Kwami Sefa Kayi has inspired Ghanaian youths to strive for excellence in life.
Mr. Sefa Kayi advised the youth to “make lemonade out of the lemons thrown by life” in life.
Delivering a speech at the joint induction/graduation ceremony of Kufur Scholars held at the RS Amegashi Hall of the University of Ghana Business School, Kwami Sefa Kayi shared some nuggets of wisdom with the gathering.
He said; “Leadership is everywhere around us…leadership with integrity is essential. If we are to look at Ghana and the Africa we want and love, everything we know begins and ends with leadership.
He encouraged them to become great achievers and transform the future of Africa.”Redefining Africa’s future with integrity … comes from realism and hard work”.
He took the moment to enlighten the audience on the journey to success of former President John Agyekum Kufuor, who founded Kufuor Scholars.
ACR broadcaster recounted how Mr. Kufour lived through two coups and lost elections to become the president of Ghana and Kufour’s success when he finally became president. “Didn’t come on a silver platter”.
“Grab your chance today. Don’t delay”, He urged the youth.
“…Despite your privileges as a Kufur scholar, success does not come overnight. It never has and never will. There will be times when pitfalls along the way will force you to give up or despair but remember to keep your eyes on the ball. persevering Eventually, you’ll get there. Be intentional about life, my young friends”. he added.
In his closing speech, Mr. Sefa Kayi appealed to the youth to become better versions of themselves.
“Embrace what you have and strive for excellence in every task you are given”, He stressed.
