Popular podcast host Joe Rogan has slammed Pete Buttigieg, the transportation secretary, for complaining about too many white people working in the construction industry, saying hiring based on diversity could lead to “disasters.”
Buttigieg focused on racial disparity on construction sites last week during an appearance at the National Association of Counties conference.
“We’ve heard so many stories from previous generations of infrastructure where you’ve got a neighborhood, often a neighborhood of color that finally sees the project come to them,” he explained.
“But everybody on that project in hard hats, you know, — doing good-paying jobs — don’t look like they’re from anywhere in the neighborhood,” Buttigieg asserted.

Buttigieg’s comment “shows a profound lack of understanding of skilled workers,” Rogan said.
“Like, you have to hire really good people, and if they don’t exist in that community, you have to hire them from outside that community,” he explained.
“That’s why those unions are important, that’s why it’s important, if you look at what happens when you have unskilled labor and unskilled people working on buildings, you have fucking disasters.”

Buttigieg “took ten days to say nothing in response to the crash and then shifted some of the blame to the Trump administration,” the Daily Mail reported.
When he finally spoke about the toxic train derailment, his words made things infinitely worse. Here he is downplaying it as one of many derailments.
Buttigieg: “Although this horrific situation has received a lot of attention in particular, there are approximately 1,000 cases of train derailment per year.”

If you need proof of Rogan’s claim that diversity hiring can lead to “fucking disasters,” one only needs to look at Pete Buttigieg, a man who was hired into a role with no experience, no knowledge, based specifically on his sexual orientation.
He’s one of many Biden administration diversity hires, and he’s been an absolute disaster.
