He pointed out that apart from free tertiary education, the PNC government will ensure massive investments in the agricultural sector of the economy to feed the people and grow more for export.
“We are going to extend free education to the tertiary level,” he said on TV3 “We [PNC] We are also going to invest in agriculture.
Speaking on the huge size of the NPP government, Janet Nabla said the PNC president has requested it to downsize but it has not been heeded.
“We have told the government to reduce, we still hope they will do it,” he said.
Earlier, the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Council (GPCC) called on President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to immediately downsize his government machinery and cut spending to boost confidence in his commitment to solving the country’s economic problems.
The charismatic council said shrinking government and cutting spending shows Ghanaians that the call for burden sharing is not all talk but backed by action.
In a release, the GPCC called upon the government and other stakeholders to establish a collaborative National Dialogue Forum for regular consultations and engagements on relevant issues of national interest.
