Reporters from various national outlets camped out on a quiet dead-end road in North Lansing, Michigan, trying to get details on the MSU shooter, reportedly 43-year-old Anthony McRae. McRae killed three people yesterday at Michigan State University in East Lansing and seriously injured five others who are recovering.
McRae lived with his father, Michael McRae, in a small house on Owens Ave. Michael was a churchgoer who had been widowed for the past two years.
Ironically, MSU shooter Anthony McRae previously lived in Bear, Delaware, 2.2 miles from one of the defendants accused of ‘kidnapping’ Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, Barry Kraft. Bear, Delaware is a small rural town in the state of 19,000 residents.

From social media, the shooter son was obsessed with exorcism and his social media profile was filled with such pictures and images. His Facebook account has since been deleted. Shooter Meijer worked in the warehouse of a grocery store.

McRae, the shooter, also had a 2019 conviction after a loaded gun was found in his vehicle, punishable by up to five years in state prison. McRae was only allowed a mistrial and probation.

College campuses are ‘gun free zones’ where no one, including Michigan State, is allowed to carry weapons.
Neighbor Megan Bender told The Detroit News that gunshots were coming from McRae’s property, where neighbors called local police to report the sounds. A Michigan outlet quoted a neighbor as saying he would shoot into the backyard to ‘calm the dogs down’. Discharging firearms within city limits is a “reckless use of a firearm” offense in Michigan, but neither father nor son has been charged with that crime.
The shooter had known mental illness issues and was known to authorities to be in illegal gun possession.
A ‘wellness check’ was called on shooter Anthony McRae last week but officials are not releasing any details because of the ongoing investigation.
McRae was on foot for the murder spree, walking around campus and stalking several buildings and dormitories.
Many neighbors said they knew the shooter’s father, but had never seen or met the son accused of killing the students.
Reports originally incorrectly reported that there were multiple shooters, and response efforts were frustrated by a significant number of false reports of shootings in other buildings. Social media lit up with various false claims identifying people who were not the shooters, and a picture of three shooters walking around with long guns that looked like rifles was widely circulated.

Neighbors told Gateway Pundit that Michael is currently being interrogated by the police. Neighbors say the father was known in the community as a good and peaceful man who would pick up unwanted tools and bring them back to their home to repair. Michael is a retired General Motors worker. The father told The Washington Post that his son was lying about having an illegal gun in the house, despite seeing bullet casings on the property.
Neighbor Kari Fox told reporters that Michael was a “sweet man” who was very religious and that his wife and the shooter’s mother, Linda, were deeply affected by the death two years ago in 2020. The NY Post reports that McRae has changed for the worse. ‘After his mother’s death.
The body of alleged shooter Anthony McRae was found around 11:35 p.m. in an undisclosed ‘industrial area’ about five miles from the MSU campus in Lansing, Michigan, according to phone tips.
