I have been running this challenge on my blog since the beginning and every year it evolves differently and better than the previous year. It’s 100% thanks to all of you: your support and shared motivation, check-ins and wonderful comments keep this thing going. You help each other on your way to your goals, and as your cheerleader, it’s heartwarming and inspiring to watch.
Spring Shape Up 2023
So what is Spring Shape Up?
2 week fitness plans, meal ideas and motivation to shake up your routine and get killer results from your efforts. It’s 100% free and always will be. Other sites have many similar programs available for a subscription fee or one-time payment. Not here. Shape ups are complimentary and you get advice and structure from a certified personal trainer, weight loss specialist and integrative health practitioner all in one place.
What to expect:
2 Week Complete Fitness Plan + Meal Ideas. When you sign up you get instant login access. Everything is available and beautifully organized in the Kajabi app and ready for you. Exercises and meals appear on February 24th so you’re ready to go! (There are some tips to get you started, a playlist, a high protein recipe ebook, and a couple of bonuses already waiting for you on Kajabi)
We rock and roll on Monday, February 27th.
How to set yourself up for success:
Gather your supplies.
For successful shaping you will need the following tools:
1) A notebook or tracking tool (app) on your phone.. I like to kick it old school and write my workouts and life in a notebook. Find what works best for you and practice writing down your meals, workouts, water intake and how you feel each day this week. If you plan to track your macros, download My Fitness Pal or Chronometer.
2) Dumbbells. The workouts are for dumbbells and body weight only, which means you can do them anytime, anywhere. For beginners, I suggest 3-5 lb weights to start, intermediate 8-15 lbs and advanced 15 lbs +. Find a challenge weight for yourself and consider investing in a lighter and heavier set. You use your light sets for your smaller muscle groups (like triceps) and heavier sets for larger muscle groups (eg back and legs).
3) A large water bottle. It’s your prop for the challenge as we focus on movement, nutrition and hydration. Find something you love and get ready to carry it with you everywhere!
4) Good sneakers. If your shoes are on their (literally) last leg, it’s time for a new pair. Make sure you have comfortable, functional sneakers that fit you well.
5) Exercise buddy. Send this post to a friend – group workouts are so much fun!- and if you’re working out alone, make sure to check in with us on Instagram (@tagfitnessista) and use the hashtag #springshapeup so we can cheer each other on! This is how you enter to win prizes.

What if you don’t want to do the challenge part but want some free meal ideas and workouts? That’s right!! I don’t want you to put pressure on yourself or for this to cause another stress in your life. Do as many workouts as you want, use it to supplement your routine, or get some inspiration on how to take your fitness to the next level. It’s something you can incorporate into your routine and enjoy some new healthy living resources in the process!
6) Start getting your motivation mojo. Create an inspiration board on Pinterest, or you can make a clear board with paper, magazine clippings, and a glue stick to set your goals for this shape up. If you want to write it all down, take a few minutes to journal about how you feel when the challenge is over. Why do you want to change your routine? What do you want to achieve? Start pumping yourself up for success!
A friendly reminder that this shape up is not about weight loss; It’s about getting back into a routine, taking your current routine to the next level, creating healthy habits, and feeling great. If weight loss, muscle building or fat loss is part of your goal, I totally support it!
