Elected Republicans in Florida are not allowing the Biden administration’s border policies to destroy their state.
The Florida House of Representatives voted to give Florida Governor Ron DeSantis more authority to relocate illegal immigrants to any state in the country.
The bill would establish the Unauthorized Alien Transport Program — and allocate $10 million to it.
The bill now heads to DeSantis’ desk, where he is expected to sign the bill.

The Epoch Times reported:
Florida lawmakers have approved an expansion of Gov. Ron DeSantis’ relocation program for illegal immigrants, handing them the authority to transport such individuals from anywhere in the country, including blue states.
In a special session, Florida’s House of Representatives on Feb. 10 voted along party lines to expand DeSantis’ effort to relocate undocumented immigrants residing in any state to any jurisdiction in the United States.
The bill would establish an Unauthorized Alien Transport Program within the Department of Emergency Management, expanding a program enacted by DeSantis last year that allows officials to fly illegal immigrants to blue states with sanctuary policies.
In addition to expressly granting transit authority to DeSantis, the bill also appropriates $10 million for the program, but says funds previously spent on immigrant relocation efforts are “deemed appropriated.” This strengthens the governor’s position in the face of possible legal challenges.
The bill’s sponsor, GOP Senator Blaise Ingoglia, said, “The state of Florida is not a sanctuary state and never will be. It’s time for those sanctuary cities to put their money where their mouths are.
Fox 13 reported:
The bill’s Senate sponsor, Republican Sen. Blaise Ingoglia, said it would only transport immigrants who want to go to sanctuary cities and states voluntarily.
“The federal government has not only failed but has refused to take any action to address the more than 200% increase in border encounters,” said state Sen. Blaise Ingoglia (R-Spring Hill) said. “In fact, this administration has taken steps to make the problem worse. The state of Florida is not a sanctuary state and never will be. It’s time for those sanctuary cities to put their money where their mouth is.
Every red state should follow suit!
