A new report indicates that Senator John Fetterman is struggling to adjust to life in the Senate as he adjusts to hearing problems since he suffered a stroke in May, causing him to hear voices that sound like the teacher in the “Peanuts” cartoon.
An in-depth description of Fetterman’s current struggles comes via The New York Times and casts doubt on the Pennsylvania Democrat’s previous assertions that he could “serve effectively” if elected.
It also comes after Fetterman spent two nights in hospital after an incident where he experienced “light-headedness”.
The Times goes into significant detail about how colleagues and the sergeant-at-arms worked hard to help the ailing senator, who found the transition to the chamber “extraordinarily challenging” due to his recovery. Physical impairment and serious mental health challenges.”
The media seems finally ready to talk about many issues now that Fetterman’s election is assured.

The physical impairment cited by the New York Times is an auditory processing problem that Fetterman contends is dependent on tablets or screens to transcribe what is being said to him.
His desk has a monitor that adjusts whether he is standing or sitting, Center-Days has a custom desk with a similar monitor and a live audio-to-text transcription service for committee hearings.
He reportedly needs these things because sometimes hearing people’s words is as difficult for Fetterman as trying to do the muffled voice of the teacher in the “Peanuts” cartoon, whose words he can never understand.
John Fetterman is still hospitalized and according to the New York Times is hearing sounds like the teacher in the Peanuts cartoon talking to him.

The New York Times describes how Senate colleagues had to accommodate Fetterman’s “special needs.”
Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN) experimented with a tablet used to transcribe voices for her colleague and suggested that others should “learn our own styles with it.”
Representative Mary Glusenkamp Perez (D-WA) was initially confused as to why a tablet should be used for “small talk” but pointed out that it works seamlessly.

Everyone knew he had problems
The New York Times report is remarkable when you consider that Democrats did their best to cover up Fetterman’s health concerns before his election to the Senate last November.
When one reporter — Dasha Burns of NBC News — dared to admit that she could not understand the speech and needed transcripts to help her in that regard, she was roundly condemned by Democrats and their media conglomerates.
“In the small talk before the untitled interview, it wasn’t clear he was understanding our conversation,” Burns reported months ago.
The burns turned daggers at her, insulted by fellow reporters as bad in ‘small talk’ and others suggesting she was increasing the chances of violence against disabled people.
Sorry to say but I spoke @John Fetterman Over an hour without a stop or any helpers and it’s just absurd. Maybe this reporter is bad at small talk. https://t.co/CX9B7qWUaS

That Fetterman spoke to disability advocates about the interview. They are not happy. https://t.co/XE8wBq2LNN

Now the media is finally free to admit that Fetterman has “special needs” and is basically hearing teachers from “peanuts” when he talks to his colleagues.
The New York Times notes that Fetterman is unable to speak to reporters in the hallways of the Capitol, requiring a team of staff to ensure that more lawmakers are in attendance and that their technical equipment is working properly.
He is not fit to serve in Congress. He needs rest and recovery time. Those close to him who are urging him to serve in the Senate should be ashamed of the abuse in which he actively engages.
