Watch below:
Conradson: You are the featured speaker at an upcoming event in the ASU Gammage Theater. Health, Wealth and Happiness, can you tell us about that event, what you will be talking about, and why everyone at ASU and Arizona should attend that event?
Kiyosaki: Health, wealth and happiness at Gammage are about things we don’t cover in school. Health with this pandemic. I have COVID, and I’m cured with hydroxychloroquine. The man who healed me was a health talker, Dr. Radha Gopalan, and he is an acupuncture doctor, but he is also a leading heart transplant surgeon at Banner. So, they talk about health from East and West. And happiness, that’s Dennis Prager. Dennis Prager has helped me personally a lot because he always talks about how we have a moral responsibility to be happy, and many people today are not happy. Here I am, with more money than I can use but still not happy. So I started listening to Dennis Prager on happiness. So that’s how it started, health, wealth and happiness, and now we’re in protest. Of all places, the university system should be a place for open ideas. But unfortunately, it has come to a place where there are only closed ideas. Things worth understanding are only what the scholars say. For me, health, wealth and happiness are priceless.
Conradson: You told me you fought the Viet Cong as a Marine in the Vietnam War. When you returned home, obviously, you were not expected to spit and protest. Did you expect it to ever get worse and worse where they are trying to shut you down for talking about health, wealth and happiness?
Kiyosaki: When we got off the plane at Northern Air Force Base in California, our commanding officer stood up and said, ‘Ladies and gentlemen, you’re going to be spat on, hit with eggs, and all this. Remember this, we fought for their freedom of protest.’ And you know that, as a sailor, we follow orders. And protest was never part of our agenda as US Marines. However, we fought for their right to protest. I was spat on, hit with eggs, called baby killers and all these things. And my only job is to fight for America’s freedom. I didn’t fight for Republicans or Democrats, liberals and conservatives. I fought for freedom of speech. And there were those hippies in the 70s, the Woodstock Generation, who were exercising their freedom, but we fought for it! So, I couldn’t really complain. You know, I do this as a joke, even today, when I talk to more conservative groups, I say, When I see all these bunch of hippies and woodstalkers, screaming at us and spitting at us and egging us on, I swear I saw Nancy Pelosi in there. I fear those hippies will be our leaders today.
Conradson: I noticed that next to you is this Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx. What, how does that relate to what’s going on at ASU and universities across the country?
Kiyosaki: In 1965, when I left Hilo, Hawaii and went to school at the US Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point, New York, my economics teacher said we should all read this book, The Communist Manifesto. It was written in 1848. It’s only like 50 pages. And when I read this book, I realized that most teachers are Marxists, not saying they are bad. People. But their value systems are very Marxist. By joining trade unions, the young workers of the world unite. In 1848, Marx predicted that communism would take over America in two stages. The first step came in 1930, when the Berlin School sent teachers to Columbia University’s Teachers College; They teach communism. The second step came in 2020, my friend Donald Trump, we wrote two books together, removed through socialist media. So I recommend that every teacher and every student read this book to decide whether you are a Marxist or a capitalist. I am a capitalist. You know, you want to be a Marxist? Knock yourself out to have a better life. Written in 1848, this book should be read by every teacher, every student. And you can figure out whether you are a Marxist or a capitalist.
What’s wrong with listening to people with different ideas? In all places, the university system, because students are older, should be open to hearing more, contradictory ideas and then you can decide. So I think what these teachers are doing is childish.
