Here we are left with another news cycle that only provides us with trickles of revelations similar to the docudramas that plague the current and past administrations. However, this time there are valuable clues coming from our Defense Department regarding the alleged Chinese spy balloon attacks.
Unfortunately, the information we’re getting raises more questions than it provides any answers. In some ways, delaying the removal of the spy balloon seems like a good decision, allowing our government to gather valuable intelligence on our near-peer adversary.
But can we trust what our DOD tells us? And if what they say is true, can we trust them to be able to extract all the wisdom they can and do something worthwhile with it?
Remember when the Biden administration and their media propagandists lied over the weekend about 3 Chinese spy balloons over the USA during the Trump presidency.
– That’s why when these traitors talk about Russian and Chinese propaganda, I can’t stop laughing.
They are just as bad.

Talk about biffing it
The recent invasion of our airspace by a Chinese eye floating in the sky does not appear to be the first time this has happened. We are now learning that this has happened three times under the Trump administration. The commander of the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD), General Glenn VanHerk, had his past failures.

“I will tell you that we didn’t detect those threats, and the domain we have to figure out is the awareness gap,” General VanHerck admitted.
That is an understatement; What was General Vanherck’s job?
According to General, “As NORAD commander, it is my responsibility to detect threats to North America.”
What an awesome job you are doing! There is not much accountability at NORAD, it appears. Santa is spending more time on his annual mission to track down all the boys and girls as they deliver their presents. So how were the previous balloons discovered?
“After the fact, the intel community made us aware of those balloons that had previously approached North America or had been diverted to North America,” General VanHerk said.
Oh, yes, the same intelligence community known for being transparent and honest.
Despite spending $13.34 trillion on the military from 2000 to 2019, we struggle to detect giant balloons when they enter US airspace, the US commander in charge of the North American region admits. pic.twitter.com/FrW9qZYjx6

Fake news?
One day I think I’m an ‘unnamed’ source because I’ve given up a bit as there seem to be several running around the beltway. An unnamed US official said that after we realized that the unidentified past sightings were Chinese spy balloons, they chose to keep it secret so that China would not know how we found it.
How clever, how is it working for us now? I would argue that we look quite unprepared and ridiculous.
National Security Council spokesman John Kirby said. “I can’t speak to the flow of information in the previous administration. I can tell you that we reached out to key officials of the previous administration and gave briefings on the forensics that we did. And we expressed our willingness to walk them through what we learned.
How generous you are; How to lead the American people through that? The former president isn’t buying this narrative, and I don’t think we should be either.
Popping on Truth Social, former President Trump posted “Now they’re spouting off that the balloon was put up by China during the Trump administration to take the ‘heat’ off the slow-moving Biden idiots.”
All these rumors of three other balloons are ‘false information’, he said. So is the Biden administration building this whole bogus balloon brouhaha?
What they did over the weekend was the opposite of good faith: deceptively leaking classified information in order to point the finger at the past administration to excuse their failures. Caught, he now ‘admits and pleads an honest mistake. Give me a break. pic.twitter.com/0JZ5hLcxSD

A five sided drama
Yesterday, former Speaker of the House, Newt Gingrich, appeared on Fox News and dropped some serious truth bombs. At first, Mr. Gingrich highlighted that the timeline for this latest balloon blunder looks a little off.
“When the military found out about it, there was a period of three or four days where they didn’t tell the president,” Gingrich said.
That sounds strange; Unless the president has the mental acuity of a five-year-old, that’s something you’d think you’d say to a president. Then you might not want to upset him over the balloon.
There are some rumblings that when Uncle Joe was finally told about the spy balloon, he told the military to shoot it down but was fired, so Mr. Gingrich gave him the title of ‘Suggestor in Chief’ and Commander in Chief last night. Chief.
“This is an example of a Pentagon bureaucracy that is more concerned about dealing with social issues than protecting the United States,” he said.
Now he is speaking my language. Gingrich continues to go through the Pentagon’s latest highlight reel “Since Afghanistan, we’ve seen failure after failure, and the Pentagon needs a deep, thorough shake-up.”
Dare I say Newt that our beloved Department of Defense may have some deep rot within it?
If it is true that the Pentagon willfully did not tell about China’s spy balloons during President Trump’s administration, then we have a serious breach in command during the Trump admin.
POTUS Commander in Chief.
We must investigate and hold accountable those who break ranks.

Questions that remain unanswered
Let’s take a spell to put some of these contradictions with this balloon buffoonery:
- President Biden was not immediately notified
- DOD claims they ‘missed’ 3 previous balloons
- No one in the Trump administration was aware of the previously missed balloons
- China launched this huge balloon which can obviously be seen with the naked eye
- China can spy on us more covertly
So let’s break down this idea as Mr. Trump alleges and some of his previous balloon narratives are misinformation or simply lies. This includes not only the Biden administration but also the military and intelligence community on these lies.
Now if this isn’t enough to make you feel like you’re living in a simulated democracy, let’s break down the idea that three balloons have happened. I think the following questions are essential and not all-inclusive:
- Why are we learning about this failure now?
- Why was the Trump administration unaware of the failure?
- Why have we failed to detect spy balloons?
- What has been done to mitigate this massive failure?
Will we ever get these answers? Suspicious.
My final thought for you – at best, our government is lying about the spying efforts of close friends. Worse, our government is incompetent and hides it from the American people and the people we elected to power. So chew on it and try to sleep well tonight.
Who is in charge? I can tell you it’s not the past or current president, but military and defense officials who think they know best and would rather advance their own agendas than serve and protect.
