On Monday, a massive fire completely destroyed a manufacturing facility and warehouse in Chicago, a year after announcing a major expansion at the site.
Multiple fire departments responded to the extra-alarm fire at the Morgan Lee warehouse at 1101 Washington Ave. in Chicago Heights, according to city spokesman David Ormsby.
According to reports, a fire broke out at the facility around 6 am, which quickly spread to neighboring buildings.
No employees were present when the fire incident occurred, and no injuries were reported.

Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
Morgan Li issued a statement on his website after the incident.
A fire broke out in our factory at 1001 Washington Street in Chicago Heights on Monday morning, February 6, 2023. Although the fire damage is massive, the most important thing is that all our people are safe and accounted for.
Morgan Lee is a family-owned and operated business and we consider all of our employees to be an extension of our family; We will do everything we can to rebuild what was lost and continue to support our people and the entire Chicago Heights community. The fire location is one of our five manufacturing facilities and we continue to support our customers at other operational locations.
We do not know the cause of the fire and are working with the authorities and fully cooperating with their investigation.
