Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’ administration is seeking to revoke the liquor license of a music foundation that hosted a drag-themed Christmas show featuring children.
Axios reports that the state Department of Business and Professional Regulation filed a complaint against the Orlando Philharmonic Plaza Foundation on Friday.
The application mentions that the foundation is functioning as a “performing arts centre” when they are licensed to serve alcoholic beverages at the “Drag Queen Christmas” show three days after Christmas 2022.
The DBPR complaint provides several images of minors in the show despite their “sexually explicit nature”.
They allege that the Orlando Philharmonic Plaza Foundation violated state law that allows “a person to make a lewd or lascivious performance in the presence of a victim under the age of 16.”
Other exhibits included in the filing show minors were able to watch performers “wearing sexually suggestive clothing and female genitalia” engage in “simulated sexual activity.”
A perfect exercise of state power is to revoke the liquor license of a venue that has violated the law by allowing minors to attend a sexually obscene performance. If your state leaders are not doing the same, you need to ask why. https://t.co/CTnDyWHu6i

Political Insider previously reported that the DeSantis administration is targeting another drag event in Fort Lauderdale at the same time as the Orlando Philharmonic Plaza Foundation drag show, which it says exposes children to “sexual acts.”
Brian Griffin, the governor’s press secretary, issued a statement at the time and hinted that the DBPR was looking at criminal charges if an investigation showed the children were exposed to “sexually suggestive activity.”
“Exposing children to sexually promiscuous activity is a felony in Florida, and such conduct violates the department’s licensing standards for operating a business and holding a liquor license,” the statement read.

DeSantis never shies away from forcing sexual content on children as a way of normalizing it, drag show or otherwise.
The Florida governor famously signed the Parents’ Bill of Rights Act, which bars teachers and school districts from offering classroom instruction about “sexual orientation” or “gender identity” in kindergarten through third grade.
Not allowing sexual conversations with children to understand what they’re teaching them, you may recall, tears into former White House press secretary Jen Psaki.

Joy Reid Says DeSantis Is Turning Florida Into ‘Right-Wing Fantasy Land’
Not long ago, the same media outlets and Democrats that would surely condemn DeSantis for pursuing the liquor license of a business trying to dazzle children with sexual displays were cheering the former New York governor for doing the same about non-compliant businesses. Social distancing laws.
In other words, they have no moral high ground to argue this point.
MSNBC host Joy Reid recently had a meltdown in part over Governor DeSantis’ efforts to protect children from pornographic drag shows.
“They’re taking aim at drag shows, forcing state child protective services to investigate parents who take their own kids to one,” lamented the left-wing host.

No, happiness, Hell is a state that allows children to be subjected to sexually ambiguous drag shows while adults who should know better do nothing about it or, worse, actively cheer it on. Groomer.
