Democrat Rep. Mary Peltola was re-elected in Alaska to a full term in the House in November after defeating Sarah Palin in a special election to replace Rep. Don Young in August.
Peltola was the first Democrat to win a House seat in solid red Alaska in 50 years! And he was only able to win a seat in a deep red state because of a conspiracy called ranked-choice voting.
Ranked-choice voting and mail-in ballots were implemented by referendum in Alaska in 2020.
Peltola, a far-left Democrat, was declared the winner in the state in late November. Alaska is a 60-40 Republican state. Again, only a gimmick like ranked-choice voting could accomplish this in deep red Alaska. So today Alaska’s only congressional representative is a far-left Democrat. Watch what the Democrats will do to this state in the coming years! You haven’t seen anything yet.

Mitch McConnell supported ranked-choice voting in the state by Lisa Murkowski. In fact, Murkowski endorsed the far-left Peltola over Sarah Palin.
This is how Democrats steal seats. And the Republicans let them.
Alaskans are now collecting signatures for fair elections that would eliminate the state’s ranked-choice voting and nonpartisan primaries in the state.
Alaska Lt. Governor Nancy Dahlstrom certified the petition in January.

Range selection was sold to Alaska by outsiders as a means of controlling dark money. Outsiders put more of their money into our elections than ever before. It didn’t work! Most of their funding came from Alaska. Ranked Choice Voting has proven to discourage voter turnout. This past election saw the lowest voter turnout since 2010. It’s so complicated that 1000’s of people didn’t vote. For some voters, votes are counted 2 or 3 times. Not fair! It should be 1 person 1 vote. This is not a non-partisan issue. Ranked Choice Voting has affected everyone. Democrats received less than 15% of the vote in at least 1 race. Rank selection creates division and bitterness.
