Former President Donald Trump is the clear front-runner for the Republican Party’s 2024 presidential nomination despite the wish-casting of the corporate media and establishment Republicans. Recent polls in the crucial primary states of New Hampshire and South Carolina show Trump establishing a solid lead over all potential contenders.
In New Hampshire, Trump has 37% of primary voter support, followed by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis with 26%. RINO New Hampshire Gov. Chris Sununu is at 13%, the only person to reach double digits.
The story is similar in South Carolina, where Trump has a slightly larger lead than DeSantis. The former president has 43% support from primary voters, compared to the Florida governor’s 28%.
In 2016, Trump easily won the New Hampshire and South Carolina primaries en route to the GOP nomination.

Former President Donald Trump is leading his potential challengers in South Carolina by double digits, a recent Trafalgar Group poll found.
The survey asked respondents, “If the Republican presidential primary were held today and the following were the candidates, who would you most likely vote for?”
Trump emerged as the overwhelming favorite, garnering 43.4 percent support. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) trailed at 15.6 percent with 27.8 percent support. South Carolina Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) slipped to third with 14.3 percent support, followed by former US Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley at 11.6 percent, former Vice President Mike Pence at 1.8 percent, and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo at 1.1 percent.
When DeSantis is taken out of the mix, Trump’s support grows to 47.9 percent, and Scott and Haley gain 22.8 percent and 21.1 percent, respectively.
The poll was taken Jan. 24-26, 2023, among 1,078 GOP presidential primary voters. It has a margin of error of +/- 2.9 percent.
It coincides with Trump’s busy campaign weekend, visiting early primary states New Hampshire and South Carolina.
