The FBI should search Hunter Biden’s home and office for classified documents, Sen. Ted Cruz said Sunday.
Cruz made the comments while speaking with Maria Bartiromo on Fox News Channel’s “Sunday Morning Futures.”
The classified documents were found at Biden’s Delaware home and an office he used to use in Washington, DC.
“It seems like everywhere they go, they leave classified documents. And sometimes we know that Hunter Biden has declared his residence to be the same places,” Cruz said.

The president’s son has been scrutinized for drug use, sham business dealings in foreign countries and excessive “rent” payments to his father for office space in DC.
“I believe it is critical to ensure that the FBI has no classified records to search Hunter Biden’s homes, home and office residences, given all the evidence. We need to make sure who has access to what and when,” Cruz said.
Cruz based his FBI tip Sunday on reports of 2014 emails to Hunter Biden’s former business partner Devon Archer discussing instability in Ukraine, which he alleged “raises the natural inference that the president’s son had access,” to some classified information. Hunter Biden on Ukrainian energy company Burisma. Timing is central to GOP investigations.
Cruz said he “can say with spiritual certainty” that there are no classified documents in his home.
Later in the day, Cruz made similar statements during an appearance on Fox Business.
The next steps in the Joe Biden classified documents investigation should be:
1. The FBI needs to search Biden’s Senate records, which are held at the University of Delaware.
