While other Republicans are teasing possible presidential campaigns, former President Donald Trump is getting into the early stages of the season by making the rounds in New Hampshire and South Carolina. His recent publications and speeches have focused on a demographic that, for the past few years, has been largely ignored by the Republican Party — parents.
Perhaps taking a cue from Gov. Glenn Youngkin’s 2021 victory in Virginia, the former POTUS is coming out strong in support of parents and against everyone who thinks they know best about what our kids want. The messaging is undoubtedly a nod to the rising popularity of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who many believe is the best contender against Trump for the GOP nomination.
As usual, Trump did not mince words and promised significant deliverables. Will it resonate with more voters than the track record of his nearest Republican rival from the Sunshine State? Let’s see what ‘The Donald’ has to say.
Democrats forced your child to wear a mask in school, wanted boys to compete in girls’ sports, and indoctrinated students with critical race theory.
President Trump is the only leader who can end this madness and empower parents!

What is the plan?
On Saturday, Donald Trump gave a speech in South Carolina, laying out a number of tasks his administration will tackle when he returns to the White House, or so he says.
In a wide-ranging statement, Mr. Trump said “We’re going to stop the left-wing radical racists and perverts trying to indoctrinate our youth, and we’re going to drop their Marxists from our children.”

They certainly don’t mince words and have no problems calling a spade a spade, so to speak. He went on to take a direct jab at the gender ideology camp, promising “To defeat the cult of gender ideology and reaffirm that God created two sexes, men and women.”
Under a potential second Trump term, no longer identifying as ‘ze’ or ‘tree’; You are ‘he’ or ‘she’ and that is the end. I can literally feel the exaggerated fear of rich liberals as they frantically tweet and post end-times warnings.
“We don’t allow men to play women’s sports,” he said during a promotional tour. “And by doing that, you know what happens, we’re going to save women’s dignity and we’re going to save women’s sports.”
How ironic is it that one of the staunchest champions of women’s rights in sports is often thought of as one of the most misogynistic men in the country?

The Man Who Can Do It
Earlier last week, the former president rolled out his 2024 Education Policy Plan. The plan includes various initiatives to include the plan “Cut federal funding to any school that pushes left-wing sexual or political content on our children.
In response to a recent controversy in Virginia about high schools withholding information related to merit awards, the plan promises full coverage. “Civil rights investigations of any school district engaged in race-based discrimination.”
However, the most exciting aspect of his plan speaks directly to the teacher talent pool, or lack thereof. In their video rollout.
“As we say, we have a big problem if we have pink-haired communists teaching our kids about personnel policy and at the end of the day,” Trump said.
Apparently, the former president is following the Libs of Tik Tok account on social media. His plan addresses this problem in public schools by promising to abolish teacher tenure, which he explains means removing poorly performing teachers and adopting merit-based pay to reward better performers.
Of course, you know…it takes a businessman to come up with that concept versus a politician more interested in maintaining the status quo than results and efficiency.
It is time for a wake up call in our schools. @realDonaldTrump It wants to implement direct elections of school heads by parents as the ultimate form of local control.

Power to parents
Jumping on the parental rights bandwagon, the former president came out strongly this weekend to support the growing giant in the country’s arena. In a shocking remark that was sure to send the likes of teachers union president Randy Weingarten into an apoplectic fit, Mr Trump dared to claim that parents “more than anyone else” want what their children want.
Oh, hold on there, friend! Are you saying that the people who carry their babies, feed them, clothe them, keep them safe, and are the primary investors in their future, know best what those little creatures need? What a remarkable concept.
“When I am president, we will put parents back in charge and give them the final say,” he promised.
So what exactly does that mean? Many Republican politicians have made the same promise but with slightly bleaker details. The former president laid out a specific game-changing policy for public schools in this country
“If no principal works, parents will be able to vote to fire them and elect someone else.”
Now that’s a big promise. It’s hard to say whether that would be enforceable at the federal level, but what a world we would live in if parents had the power to choose or fire their public school principals.

Right wing extremists!
As usual, the left-wing media jumped on the former president’s promises. For example, Politico published an article titled ‘Trump Unveils New Education Policy Filled with Culture War Allusions’ as the country’s right wing launches a culture war.
MSNBC published an opinion piece on their website with the hilarious title, “Trump Wants to Turn Schools into Ultra-Right Indoctrination Pipeline.”
We have an epidemic of teachers droning on about sexuality to elementary and middle school kids, shoving their gender behind their parents’ backs, and telling white kids they’re inherently racist and black kids victims. Instead, maybe we have teachers who focus on reading and math, we live in a less-than-perfect union while teaching that patriotism is okay and accepting that anything is possible if you work hard and have a positive attitude.

Oh, I can see why leftist ideologues are horrified by this idea.
“We’re at the bottom of the list in education and we still spend the most, but we’re at the top of the education ladder everywhere you go in the world,” Trump said.
Let’s hope they are right because the education of our youth is directly related to our success as a country.
