Maryland man who threatened to kill Sen. Ted Cruz pleads guilty
A Maryland man pleaded guilty Thursday to threatening to kill a member of Congress, the Justice Department announced in a news release.
Justin Kuchta, 39, sent a message threatening to kill a Texas member of Congress through an event invitation website in July, according to his plea agreement. Although the members were not identified in court documents, Republican Sen. CNN previously reported that the threat was aimed at Ted Cruz.
CNN has reached out to Cruz’s office for comment.
“I’M COMING TO KILL ALL YOU SATANIST F**kers!!!” Raw was written in response to an online event invitation, according to court documents. “Especially the chuckle-f**k Zodiac [sic] Killer!! That fat fake f**ker ass is first on the gallows!!” Prosecutors said Kacha sent a similar message to Cruz’s office days later.
Kacha pleaded guilty to interstate communication involving a threat of injury and faces up to five years in federal prison when he is sentenced in April, the DOJ said.
They sound like they need some serious help.
