In a statement on his Facebook page, Mr. Dampare’s first visit to the headquarters after his appointment was to foster close ties with the police service.
The two discussed how they can join forces to promote peace while showcasing the great work of the police.
Daddy Lumba also engaged with the IGP on other matters of national interest and explored areas of collaboration between the police and his radio station DLFM.
The two, who appear to be best friends, are seen giving each other a passionate hug in one of the pictures.

On Wednesday, January 25, Daddy Lumba met the Inspector-General of Police, Dr. George Akufo visited Dampare in his office in Accra.
Dr. It was the legendary musician’s first visit to the headquarters after Dampare’s appointment to build closer ties with the police service.
He discussed how he could join forces with the service, use his influence to promote peace, and showcase the great work of the police.
Daddy Lumba also engaged with the IGP on other matters of national interest and explored areas of collaboration between the police and his radio station DLFM.
The 58-year-old recently released his latest single “Afon Na Edi Asem Fo” while also watching the newly launched Police TV station which will be launched soon. He was deeply impressed by the station’s ultramodern setup and conveyed the same to the IGP.
He lauded Dr. Dampare for his direct and influential visionary leadership.
COP Mrs. Habiba Twumasi Sarpong, COP Mr. Yohuno, COP Mr. Adu Anim HRD and SUPT Grace Ansah were present in the meeting.
