Rep. Matt Gaetz offered his colleague Adam Schiff a new pronoun suggestion after officially declining to serve on the House Intelligence Committee.
As The Political Insider reported earlier this week, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy formally rejected a late-stage bid by Democrats Eric Swalwell and Schiff to serve on the Intel Committee.
McCarthy said his decision was made to “maintain a quality worthy of this committee’s responsibilities” and that “integrity is paramount.”
Swalwell had a documented relationship with Chinese spies, while Schiff was a consistent and notorious leaker of classified information with the intent to convey disinformation about former presidents.

Gaetz mocks Schiff with a new pronoun suggestion
Although Schiff is a clear national security threat who should be removed from the Intel committee — a very serious matter — Gaetz couldn’t help but poke some fun at the Democrat lawmakers.

A Twitter user known as @JoeyFromPhilly, who lists himself as a political strategist and former radio host, openly wondered: “What are Adam Schiff’s pronouns?”
Gaetz responded simply – “Removed.”

Granted, it doesn’t really make much sense, with the lack of a corresponding pronoun like most confused liberals put in their profile, but any jab at Adam Schiff is worth repeating.
But that wasn’t a good answer either.
Several people took a shot at answering @JoeyFromPhilly , delivering gems like “gas/lighter,” “buh/bye,” “bug/ice,” and the ever-popular “pencil/neck.”

Remember the pencil act?
The “pencil/neck” pronouns are a reference to the nickname given to Schiff by former President Donald Trump, who once called him “Little Pencil Neck Adam Schiff.”
“He has the shortest, thinnest neck I’ve ever seen. He’s not a long ball hitter,” Trump told supporters at a 2019 rally.

Gaetz used the insult while introducing a resolution calling for the resignation of then-House Intelligence Committee Chairman Schiff for his handling of Russian collusion.
MAGA trolled Republican Schiff in epic fashion, titling the proposed bill “Preventing Gross Negligence with the Determination of Classified Information Licensing” — or the “Pencil Act.”

Gaetz cited at the time the fact that Schiff “said there was false and real evidence” between Russia and the Trump campaign.

The PENCIL Act led to no action when Republicans were in the minority.
Now that they have a majority, Speaker Kevin McCarthy has taken matters into his own hands. Schiff is no longer a threat to the nation by serving on the Intel Committee.
Still, both Schiff and Swalwell are considered for roles in other panels.
“Those members have other committees, but the Intel committee is different,” McCarthy explained. “The Intel Committee’s responsibility is national security for America.”
