Louisiana state representative Jeremy Lacombe is leaving the Democrat Party and registering as a Republican. He is the third Democrat to achieve this feat in just one month.
North Carolina State Sec. Tristan Cotham switched to the Republican Party just last week.
The Democrat Party is becoming too radical for some Democrats.
Fox News reports:
Democrats deal another blow: A third lawmaker quits the party, switching to Republicans within a month
Democrats dealt another blow from within their own ranks this week as another state lawmaker announced he was leaving the party.
Louisiana-based newspaper The Advocate reported Monday that state Rep. Jeremy Lacombe has announced that he is leaving the Democratic Party and registering as a Republican.
It was not immediately clear what prompted LaCombe’s departure, but he is now the second Louisiana Democrat in less than a month to change party affiliation and the third person nationwide after another state lawmaker in North Carolina did the same.
Last month, Louisiana state representative Frances Thompson gave Republicans a supermajority in the state House after switching her party affiliation, and earlier this month, North Carolina state representative Tricia Cotham gave Republicans a supermajority in the state House with her switch.
The switches come as President Biden faces record low approval ratings among key groups, including women (down 43% now vs. 42%), voters age 45+ (down 41% vs. 39%), suburban voters (down 41%). 39% down vs.), rural voters (31% vs. 30% down) and Democrats (81% vs. 78% down) – particularly Democratic men (79% vs. 78% down), according to recent Fox News polling.
Will three people make it a trend?

The GOP should encourage more Democrats who are not comfortable with their party to do this.
