Founder and Overseer of Power Chapel International Rev. There is a rousing welcome for Victor Kusi Boateng, who is under fire to resign as secretary of the National Cathedral’s Board of Trustees.
Sunday’s service was full of energy as the choir led the congregation in praise and worship.
Member of Parliament for Northern Tongu, Samuel Okudjeto Ablakwa, charged church members, who were worried about the numerous allegations leveled against their man of God, to pray for him there.
When he took the stage, Rev. Kusi Boateng has asked members of his church not to be distracted by allegations of corruption against him over their dealings in the construction of Ghana’s National Cathedral.
He promised that he would not face the charges.
“When you see your father there you are excited – always happy, papa is there, papa is there. But when you’re there and you’re fighting there, some of you cry.
“How do I go up without fighting demons in the air? So, stop all these fights and all these arguments. The question is whether your father is well. I am 100 percent right.
“The question is, is your father happy? I am very happy. The question is, will your father go through with this? I promise you that I will handle this respectfully.
“So, everyone of you should relax, be happy and don’t waste your time on Facebook,” he said.
He said his church members should spend time talking to people about the expansion of their church and spreading the gospel.
The congregation, all on their feet, could be seen clapping as he addressed the man of God.
